Amusement industry leader recognized for a lifetime of honesty, leadership, and integrity
In an industry built on relationships, reputation, and decades of dedication, few names carry the respect and admiration of Marty Glazman.
Honored During Amusement Expo International
At a private dinner held during the Amusement Expo International trade show in Las Vegas, Pace-O-Matic honored Glazman with the company’s Integrity Award, recognizing his lifelong commitment to honesty, fairness, leadership, and professionalism throughout the amusement industry.
Presented by Pace-O-Matic founder Michael Pace, the award celebrates individuals whose actions consistently reflect doing what is right, even during difficult moments or periods of uncertainty.
“With over 50 years in the coin-op business, Marty is widely recognized as a veteran staple of the amusement industry,” said Michael Pace during the presentation. “While Marty moved up in his career and worked with some of the major amusement brands, one thing about him remained constant, his integrity.”
Glazman, often affectionately known throughout the industry as “the amusement guy,” built a career that spanned nearly every corner of the amusement business. Beginning as an arcade operator, he later moved into distribution, sales, marketing, and executive leadership roles, becoming a respected figure among peers and colleagues across the country.
His professional journey intersected with Michael Pace years ago while Pace worked at Digital Controls. That connection eventually grew into a lasting friendship built on mutual respect and shared values.
Words That Resonated With the Industry
“When thinking about who to honor with this award, it would be too simple to say Marty immediately came to mind,” Pace said. “The fact of the matter is, people like Marty are the very reason this award exists.”
The Pace-O-Matic Integrity Award was created to recognize leaders in the amusement industry who exemplify the highest ethical standards both professionally and personally. Recipients are selected not simply for their accomplishments, but for the values they demonstrate through their actions, relationships, and leadership.
Throughout the evening, Glazman reflected on the importance of honesty and remaining true to your principles, even when faced with challenges.
“Always tell the truth, even when it is painful,” Glazman shared while accepting the award. “When I look back at my career, I often think that even when I had nothing, I had integrity. Telling the truth, being honest, is what got me through some of the hardest times.”
That message resonated deeply with attendees gathered to celebrate Glazman’s decades-long impact on the industry.
