W.W. Robinson Elementary School Student Supports Local Food Banks

Pace-O-Matic is proud to have sponsored Anderson Pence, a 5th grade student from W.W. Robinson Elementary School and member of the St. Luke-Saumsville 4-H Club at the Shenandoah County Fair Livestock Sale.

We purchased three of the Anderson’s hogs, and the processed meat was donated to food banks serving families across the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. The total weight reached 492 pounds, which translates into hundreds of meals for households that need a little help right now.

The donation was divided among three local food banks that support multiple communities.

  • Bread of Life Food Pantry in Woodstock, Virginia
  • Open Door Food Pantry in Mount Jackson, Virginia
  • Mathews Food Pantry in Fort Valley, Virginia

Each pantry received the meat from one full hog. High-quality protein is one of the most requested items for food banks. By purchasing locally raised animals from FFA and 4-H students, we were able to invest in youth agriculture education and place fresh protein directly into the hands of families who rely on community support.

This effort came together through strong local coordination and the energy of partners who care about both kids and community. We are grateful to everyone who helped make the purchase, processing, and delivery possible.

Thank you to the Shenandoah County 4-H and FFA Livestock Sale organizers, the student farmer, the processors who prepared the meat for distribution, and our local partners who helped coordinate delivery to the pantries.
